Esther Moreno Moralesis a 67-year-old Magic: The Gathering fan. She lives in Valencia and dropped by her hometown’s Pro Tour on Saturday morning. Morales was looking for the cards that she needs for an entire set of Born of the Gods. While she had an impact on the players and visitors with her presence and story (she was a very energetic personality when she arrived), she still found some time to share with me her story of Magic.
Someone asked for help so I doodled these for them real quick.
These are not too accurate with proportion since they were drawn too fast but it was mostly just to get an idea of the body shape and buildup. I usually think of it as using wire, attaching basic 3D shapes, then filling in the holes with clay and smoothing it out…
You’ve gotta be able to understand the body in shapes before getting into detail. This is how i usually sketch things in order to make the pose/gesture of whatever im drawing look a bit more accurate than just guessing.. (I learned about the spine technique from a class i took later and it helped me so much omg.)
I’m terrible at explaining things but i hope this helps you?? /sobs idk
(also i added captions..)
This is a simple motion-diagram thing I made when talking about animation to non-animators.
Great visualization for people learning animation. All these different sequences are the same length, just approached differently.
